Identity and wayfinding system for the city of Edinburgh. Holyrood Park, the park in the middle of Edinburgh, was my main inspiration in creating the identity. Holyrood Park and its hills, notably its highest point, Arthurs Seat, are a good representation of Edinburgh because when people walk up the hills, they are treated to a 360 view of the city.

Wayfinding

The wayfinding system was inspired by the city's identity. The main entrance signage is based on shapes from the logo. The brands colour and typography is also used throughout the wayfinding system to create a sense of consistency. The bold dark grey colour was used so there would be high contrast between the signage and the environment.
